Private Journal & Mood: Biometric, Encrypted, Offline (SwiftUI + Apple Watch)
A private journaling and mood app for iPhone and Apple Watch: Face ID lock, encrypted entries, and no network code at all.
Private Journal & Mood is a SwiftUI journaling app for iOS 16+ with an Apple Watch companion. A Face ID or Touch ID lock protects the app, and every entry is encrypted on the device with CryptoKit AES-GCM, with the key kept in the Keychain and never synced.
The app works fully offline, with no accounts, analytics or third-party SDKs. It has a mood calendar heatmap, mood trend charts, streaks and on-device sentiment analysis, and the watch app logs moods quickly without ever holding entry text or the key.
